OLLI at WVU hosts fall open houses

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at WVU will host a series of open houses this month for everyone with an interest in lifelong learning.

Designed for adults 50 and over as a fun way to stay engaged and connected, the OLLI at WVU offers a wide variety of non-credit lectures, workshops, discussion groups and social engagement activities. From fine art, music and film to social and natural sciences to local, regional and world history and plenty of adventure, OLLI offers something for everyone.

The following events will be held throughout September:

  • Join us on Zoom for “A Taste of OLLI” at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. This virtual open house will include an introduction to the program, short course descriptions by instructors and a Q&A segment.
  • An in-person gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Mountaineer Mall in Morgantown. The event will follow our annual Irving Goodman Lecture. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the program, talk with instructors, meet OLLI staff and advisory council members, and register for fall classes while reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. Light refreshments will be provided.
  • An open house will also be held at the Schoenbaum Center in Charleston at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

Open houses are free, but attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP online or by calling 304-293-1793.
