Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob Tour, Thursday, October 18, 2018

Reservations for this tour are due by September 26, 2018.

On Thursday, October 18, 2018, the WVU Retirees Association will travel by chartered bus to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, two homes in the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Both homes are National Historic Landmarks. They also expect to be leaf-peepers and enjoy the fall foliage along the ride. OLLI members are invited to join the group.

The first stop at 8:45 a.m. will be Kentuck Knob, one of the last homes completed by Wright. The house offers a “breathtaking panorama of the Youghiogheny River Gorge.”

Since our meal will be after the Fallingwater tour, you might want to bring a snack to eat on the bus while we travel to Fallingwater.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., we'll begin our tour of Fallingwater. Fallingwater has been called one of the greatest architectural triumphs of the 20th century and is perhaps the best-known house that Frank Lloyd Wright ever designed.

After the Fallingwater tour, we'll stop at Ohiopyle to enjoy the scenery and a boxed lunch from Panera Bread.

We will leave the Mountaineer Mall at 7:30 a.m. and should return to Morgantown around 5:00 p.m.

The cost of the trip is $78.00 per person. The price includes transportation, the admission fees to both Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob (the fees have been discounted by 15%), and the boxed lunch.

Refund Policy: Reservations for this trip are due by September 26, 2018. On that day, we will make our commitment to Budget Charters. As a result, we will not be able to make any refunds after that date.

For additional details on boxed lunch choices and the reservation form, go to Fallingwater. If you have more than one guest, you will need to do a second registration.

We look forward to seeing you on October 18!
