A Message from Our Director
Welcome to the Fall term! I have learned after being here for nearly a year, that “curiosity never retires” and I am grateful and in awe of the volunteers that share their time, energy and passion with OLLI at WVU.
If you yearn for a learning environment that challenges your mind, expands your spirit and engages your emotions, OLLI at WVU is for you. With over 50 courses, trips and interest groups being offered this term, I invite you to be a part of our 20th anniversary of lifelong learning in this area. We have teams forming to walk to support Alzheimer's and cancer research as well as our own health, and I encourage you to bring a friend or two to our Irving Goodman Annual Aging Lecture. Dr. Bernard Schreurs will be presenting, “Getting Old Is Not For Sissies”.
On September 25th at the Village at Heritage Point, at 1:00 pm, there will be a special meeting to vote on suggested bylaw revisions and to honor Dr. James Benner who has taught lifelong learners for 20 years. The OLLI E-Bulletin, sent out on Fridays, will have more information. I look forward to seeing you this fall!
