Why You Should Care about ‘Still Alice’ and the 5 Million Other Americans Living with Alzheimer’s Disease

Public Health Dialogues will host Helen Matheny, MS, APR Director of the West Virginia Alzheimer’s Outreach and Registry Program, Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, West Virginia University, to speak on Wednesday, April 1 in Room 1905 of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, North.  Doors open at 11:30 am, and the presentation will begin at 11:45 am and end at 12:50 pm.

Ms. Matheny will speak on “Why You Should Care about ‘Still Alice’ and the 5 Million Other Americans Living with Alzheimer’s Disease.”  She will discuss risk factors for this disease as well as what components make up a dementia-friendly community.

The Public Health Dialogues Speaker Series is sponsored by the Office of Public Health Practice and  Workforce Development within the WVU School of Public Health. The series is free and open to the public.
