  • An Evening of Garden Delights

    A fantastic evening is coming up at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, 1061 Tyrone Road in Morgantown.  An Evening of Garden Delights is scheduled for Sunday, August 19 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM.  The evening offers Sinatra style music by Nick Fiasco, food by Sargasso and Tutto Gelato,a  special drink and silent and live auctions.  Cost is $85.00 per person and those desiring to participate should RSVP by August 13 to wvbg.org.  A fabulous evening of class, romance and swing – be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!

  • Heinz History Center Visit

    The WVU Retirees Association is sponsoring a trip to the Senator John Heinz History Center on August 2, 2018.  Located in the historic Strip District, the Center has incredible changing displays of regional history and interests.  Departure will be from the Mountaineer Mall at 8:30 AM, arriving in Pittsburgh around 10 AM when the tour will begin.  At 12:30 PM, participants will be bussed to the center of the Strip District for lunch and shopping as they choose.  The return trip to Morgantown will depart from Smallman and 21st Street at 3:30 PM, arriving back in Morgantown around 5:00 PM.  The cost is $35 per seat, including bus transportation and entrance fees for the Heinz History Museum. To reserve your seat for this adventure, click on the Heinz History Center  and write a check to WVU Foundation.  On the memo line, Please write Heinz – 2W924.  Send the check to the WVU Retirees Association, PO Box 6640, Morgantown, WV 26506.  Reservations for this trip are due by July 26, 2018.  No refunds are available after that date.

    You may have heard that OLLI is partnering with Collette Travel for a trip to Iceland in January in hopes of experiencing the unique beauty of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights.   • YO TE LA PINTO: Seeking Art Supplies

    Several local artist have joined in a project, YO TE LA PINTO, to support the arts in the city of Cumana in the State of Sucre in Venezuela.  A local artist there, Orlando Rodriguez, and fellow artist are in need of help to encourage the arts there.

    THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. WATCH FOR A NEW DATE! Beginning August 6, Mountain Line Transit’s main transfer hub will be the Westover Terminal. Due to this move, several routes are changing and a few new routes have been added. On Thursday, July 12, OLLI will host a presentation by Kelli LaNeve, Mobility Coordinator with Mountain Line Transit, to discuss the changes to routes and assist public transit riders in determining which routes will work for them.
