As a membership organization, OLLI at WVU depends on the curiosity, cooperation, input, and support of our members to provide the highest quality programming.
Membership is required to participate in most OLLI events. Anyone interested in educational, cultural, and social experiences designed for adults 50 and older may become a member of OLLI at WVU. You do not need to be personally affiliated with WVU in order to join. For information about membership benefits and fees, visit Join Now, our membership page.
Our members make the best ambassadors!
Members are invited to bring a friend or family member to a class, but we do ask that you call ahead to let us know. Some classes may be full and even have a wait list.
You can share your OLLI experience with a gift membership as well. Contact the OLLI office at 304-293-1793 for more information.
Members are strongly encouraged to read the OLLI at WVU Membership Handbook. It is available to view online under Member Resources by visiting Membership Handbook, or to download by clicking this link.
Adopted in December 2015 and updated in September 2016, the Membership Handbook contains information about the mission, goals, organizational structure and governance of OLLI; membership and registration policies and procedures; volunteer opportunities; communications policies; and more. A copy of the OLLI at WVU strategic plan, School of Public Health organization chart and support chart for OLLI, media waiver, confidentiality forms for volunteers, liability disclaimer and non-discrimination statement can be found in the appendices of the handbook.

Each year, OLLI honors a member for their service to the program with the Extra Mile Award. Given at the Annual Meeting, the Extra Mile Award is given to a member who has gone above and beyond the call to help make OLLI the best program possible.
